Paint.NET... Paint.NET everywhere - almost every spriter here on TerrariaOnline uses Paint.NET

Perfect martial to help with.
Flames are more than one curve, they are multiple, your sprite was ok, but if more flames branched off it would be amazing.

Ok, I'll try working with fire a bit more. At least the program I use has a shading option that pretty much auto-shades fire for me

it looks more like a broadsword hot off a furnace that started off...
its... okish, but i wouldn't call it a flaming sword.
maybe try using a base sword with a thin blade and work from that? and have the flames branch off from it a bit.
