all i had to do was removing the dezimal counter and connect everything to a switch

I want to take this display and hook it up to my BCD counter with @DicemanX style 1-to-n BCD to 7-segment decoder and then re-test all of the engine designs for nostalgia lol.

I'm in the same boat... I keep thinking of various circuit's I could build that do different common hardware level operations, but I can't think of what to actually make with them

nah i build a hard coded calculator with 8 digits and able to + - * and / xD

Sounds good! You should add in support for exponents as well. Once you have the arithmetic logic built for multiplication supporting a "^X" button should be easy and would make it a little more special

I combined all these to make a scoreboard that counts from 0 to 999 (Can be expanded) in one simple diagram. This can be tightened up but I kept it as basic as possible for the showing. Has a single input tick and a single reset.
