Xbox One Player one can’t open chest when player two is in a shop

Im playing with my friend in split screen. When player two is buying sth. at a npc player on is unable to open chests .
 
Yeah, i found that today it seemed like the bug was fixed, but my brother was selling some stuf and none of us could even open our chest and you bet he took his sweet time.
