The textures in this are beautiful! Fantastic job!
I think I'm going to cancel my plans to make a Portals themed adventure map.
It'd probably just look like a copy at this point. Great job!

Can't wait to see the final product ^.^

Nooo! , plz do your map.
Mi thematic is just a concept you can use what ever u want whit no compromise.
Or maybe i can help you, because i notice the wall is tedious to set and i have more ideas, maybe we can team up and do a decent map in less time because it takes time to design the puzzle then place the tiles and walls, change the tiles form then check for flaws and add details.

Sadly, I don't have enough time to really play for the next month or so. If you're still not finished, when my schedule opens, I'd be happy to join up with you ^.^
 
This is awesome!
I am making a Portal Map myself but I have no idea what to make the Background Walls out of, I mean with Gemspark blocks I feel like that the Style just isn't really there. Any Tips?

What are the blocks you can't place portals on?
The striped ones.
It looks a lot like Mari0.

Sure for the walls was no easy task, i was looking for a wall that doest have much textures and to replicate the portal wall theme i needed at least 3-4 diferent walls
so i ended whit this walls: (all painted white)
Sail was the main Wall
Sail_%28placed%29.png
and cloud wall too
Cloud_Wall_%28placed%29.png
i place those two to form something like a chess board
then i use white dynasty wall
White_Dynasty_Wall_%28placed%29.png
to create those who has divisions.
i ended using this 3 but i let lavafall wall

in case that i need an extra one, looks really good painted white.


the placement look like this:

diamon gemspark wall obiusly was for the white lighted panels that shows the number of the test at the start of them.
other walls are just for details.
sry for the bad english any question feel free to ask.
 
What exactly are those striped blocks?

Is it just a clever trick with walls and hammered blocks?

the black ones are Tin platin painted black whit tin platin wall and yes they are hammered.
thats because portals won't be placed in those blocks.
