Blocks & Decoration Poseable Mannequins, What Terraria Needs to Breathe Life into Builds?

How possible would it be to allow mannequins to be poseable?
This would add a lot of creativity to the game, essentially simply allowing "Custom NPCS" to be made, and to breathe new life into builds. I feel like this is something desperately lacking from the current mannequins, as currently, they are just fancy armor stands.

I imagine in their menu, there would be extra buttons to change the pose, and to remove the platform beneath them as well.
For example the type of poses could be:
One arm up. (For waving or trying to grab something perhaps?)
A jump pose. (Looking shocked or just jumping, maybe could be used to make a mannequin look like they're jumping rope.)
Sitting down. (Just having someone relaxing or resting.)
Holding their arm out. (Like they're about to shake hands or to imply they're talking?)
Arms to the side. (Like in the player's walking sprite, to simulate walking?)
Bonus points if you can give your npcs fake eyes and hair.

Since all the armor on mannequins use the same sprites as if they were on a player, this SOUNDS very doable, say when a mannequin has their arm up, the armor uses the same sprite for if a player has their arm up, but I could be wrong in that regard. As far as I can tell, this just needs new mannequin sprites, which are already essentially the player sprites, but they look wooden.

Also barely related side note: Can Nurse Pants and Witch Dress not change your skin color, and Mrs. Claus Heels not also dye your legs when you dye it? I really like these 3 pieces of vanity, but the way they change your skin color ruins them for me.

Edit: Images to show the idea in action.

This could essentially allow for what looks like "custom npcs" to breathe a lot of life into builds and maps, and if we could also toggle off the platform the mannequin is on, that would be even better. Bonus points if you can add fake eyes an hair, but I'm getting ahead of myself there.

Might be doable with the changes to sprites/animations made in Journey's End.
