Portfolio/Multi-Topic Post Golem Summoner Armor and Moon Lord Phantasmal Deathray fix

King Slime used to be harder for me than Eye of Cthulhu
Honestly same, needed a Minishark the first time I played just to beat him

Summoner has low defense, thats how the class has always been.
Honestly because of how summoner is designed now it should have the second highest defense of all classes.

Before you were running away while minions attack but now you are up close with whips.

Not much to say about the suggestion, but aren't you guys forgetting King Slime in that chart? He's a joke too (Unless you're a summoner with roughly 10 defense trying to build and being too lazy to switch from building pack to band of regen for every distraction).
I'm not sure if this is just me, but I found Skeletron to be far easier than King Slime on my first playthrough.
In fact, Skeletron was the first Terraria boss I've ever beaten, after dying to the King Slime.

@Redigit🌳 in summary, PLEASE NERF MASTER MODE MOON LORD

moon lord has my banner now. I even tried to :red:ing nurse cheese him but the TEoCs kill my nurse before i can get him to second phase. I dish out the damage equally to all parts and let them go at the same time but before i can even heal once and get out of the room to fly away from ML they destroy my nurse and leave me at ~100 health where i then get killed immediately by another one using a mini phantasmal deathray. And my results are so so so so so so much worse when i try to fight him normally or even slightly away from my nurse because i keep trying to dodge his attacks just to fly to the top of the screen where he goes off screen past the space layer wall making a phantasmal deathray that is impossible to dodge dealing ~400 damage to my supposedly weak :red: summoner setup with 110 defense (???????) I know the telegraphs and :red: but whats the point of looking for the telegraphs if moon lord is off-screen like 90% of the time? I can switch to any other class and trust me i have tried that but it all ends up the same. I can’t stay close or else he drains my health even with like 60% damage reduction, but if i go too far i dont have enough time to react to the phantasmal deathray because i am not a superhuman. anyways, my nurse said i had died a little over 300 times before LC but now post LC i have died over 700 times, with the majority of the deaths being from the solar events, but also like a fifth of my deaths being from moon lord.

on master mode he is definitely pretty hard because he shoots flying skulls that deal ~100 damage after he loses an arm and he can stunlock pretty easily.

But I totally get what you mean skeletron is a hilariously easy boss on normal mode :p

Deathray has a telegraph that's visible even when the boss is offscreen, the top eye will always shoot bolts at you a few seconds before it fires, so pay attention to the angle the bolts come from to predict the deathray. You also shouldn't be letting him go so high as to go off screen, sticking to one side of him during phase 1 and limiting your vertical dodging such that you have room to fly over him when the deathray comes.

If you're having this much trouble with the boss, why not practice dodging it with a Journey mode character? Moon Lord's AI doesn't change at all between any of the difficulty settings (except Legendary but that's more of a secret seed thing), so a mobility-focused strategy that works on Classic will also work on Master.
