I’m playing in pre hardmode in a small world on mobile. I’ve spent about ten hours in this world and only the merchant, fisherman, and arms dealer have spawned. I have many valid houses that they could spawn in. Even the guide hasn’t respawned since it died in the beginning. Every time I go to the jungle there are a few goblin scouts there, so I assume it’s some sort of weird goblin army glitch that isnt allowing npcs to spawn? I’ve killed about 50 goblin scouts but there isn’t any sign that there’s a goblin army in the world. I can’t advance to hardmode because the guide won’t respawn, so I’m stuck. Plz help.

Are you sure the houses are valid? Maybe try checking again, goblin scouts aren’t part of the goblin army invasion.
I’m positive, all the rooms are the same and the three people alive spawned after I killed some goblins.

Is there a progress bar under the minimap?
If not that was just a coincidence.
Really I would just check and make sure.

Goblin scouts spawn at the two edges of the world, they are for the goblin army they drop tattered cloth which is used to craft a goblin army summon.
Edit: goblin army isn’t there, so you houses have to be invalid.

Have you used the housing checker to see if it is valid? I mean it is odd but also are you in journey mode?
