There is much more to discover than what's shown above.

About

This mod has two goals. The first is to add variety to enemies via Prefixes. When an enemy spawns, it has a chance to roll a prefix in one or more categories. Prefixes can be as simple as making the enemy deal more damage, or a bit more complex like causing its attacks to inflict debuffs, steal life, or throw players into the air.

The second goal is to add unique loot to be obtained from Rare enemies. Generally speaking, this loot will be weapons unlike what you would find in vanilla Terraria, such as Gunblades that can be swung like swords or fired like guns.
These custom items have been removed from the beta 2.0 release!

Your job as a tester
As a beta user, your job is to play the relaunched mod and test it. If you find issues, please report them in this thread
Please report any bugs you encouter! This thread is solely purposed to release an early version of the reworked mod, collect bugs and fix them.

Please test in multiplayer! MP is very likely broken, all bug reports appreciated!

Community Creation

The mod will be open-ended (similarly to Even more Modifiers) so other modders can add their own prefixes. More on this will be revealed when the mod officially relaunches.

Huge thanks to friend and coworker HattedHenk for reworking almost the entire codebase. You should thank him for bringing the mod back, not me :)

List of prefixes
If you want to see a list of content in this mod, check the original thread:

I like this, and my only problem is excessively long names on somewhat insignificant enemies.
Maybe limit ememies to 1, minibosses(like pigron, wolf, rainbow slime, etc.) to 2, and bosses to 3? Just a suggestion.

So far so good, modded enemies work too for now. Are all prefixes implemented already or just some of them? I've yet to meet a splitting enemy, maybe just bad luck.

Good to see this mod back. But could you also port it's content (I mean, weapons, accessories etc.)?

My friend said he wants to make a separate mod with the items

I think all prefixes are still present, the code is just reworked.

How long have I been waiting for this news, great!

I hope there will be a version of the mod without any Extra Loot and Weapon Gifs !!!

There has always been a problem with that. Already does not make sense to play in original terraria and mods "Calamity, Thorium, Tremor, Terraria Overhaul, etc." add a lot of content with its own balance, in which nothing extra is needed and can even disrupt mods. Enhanced enemies will always add only diversity and complexity, which is what is needed

Waiting for the release of Prefixes for Enemies (without any loot)

Did you not read the very first post in this thread? It's clearly stated that there are no items added in this version at all - exactly what you want

I want to report a bug. When playing on Multiplayer, we can't see the prefixes for the enemies. We did see some odd things like a slime wearing gift wrap or a tiny zombie but I'm not sure if that was the mod or something else.

That said, I was playing with 28 or so mods, so I will try to run it standalone and see if the problem persists.

EDIT: Okay, it DEFINITELY doesn't work even when it's the only mod I am running. So I'm reporting this is as a clear bug. I am using tModLoader v0.10.1.5 on Terraria's latest patch (1.3.5.2), if that helps

Ty for the report, and yeah I expected that. MP isn't really looked at at all yet

Happy that the mods' back. It always was one of my favorite Terraria mods. Now the great times of getting a splitter Destroyer and a juggernaut Duke Fishron can return!
