Previous version download

I recently bought the PC version through steam after playing on PS4 for some time. I was wondering if there is a way I can download a previous version of Terraria? I was hoping to download 1.0.8 specifically to try out a mod that only works with that version. This is not a mod question, just a question on if I can download previous versions of Terraria, if so how would I go about it?

Downloading previous versions is not possible in the original way, sadly.

YES!! You CAN actually use console commands in Steam to download previous versions of a game.

Just follow this guide on Reddit:
Guide - How to play old versions of Terraria (even up to 1.0.0) : Terraria

Once you have 1.2.4.1 downloaded you can install GameLauncher to that version and use Gamelauncher's "Downgrade patches" function to play even older versions, though only the specific versions GL supports.
