PS4 problem with afk farm.

Hi I made a giant cavern afk farm on my friends ps4 world and nothing is spawning. is there something I am missing or am I just being dumb.

is the room 170+ blocks wide and 96+ blocks tall? are the backwalls natural (not placed by players)? are the NPCs to close making it register as a town?
170x96 is just slightly bigger then the maximum spawn range when standing in the dead center. any smaller and enemies could spawn outside of it.
placed backwalls can also break spawn areas.
towns have lower spawn rates, potentially no hostile spawns period.

yeah you might want to make that more rectangular on the left and right by about half a screen each and definitely move those NPCs more than a screen away from the edge of farm
