when i was playing terraria for the first time on console, i got this message on my screen saying "an evil presence is watching you"
i was 8 years old at the time so i was scared out of my socks. once the eye of Cthulhu came I instantly ran to my room crying. i didn't play terraria for another month.

Whenever I go fishing, a mechanical boss will always spawn.
I can't go fishing anymore out of pure fear.

I feel bad for you. I guess try to invest in summons if possible, so that when you fish, you have protection?

Fish during the early daytime and they can't spawn.

When the destroyer spawned early hardmode killing my entire town I had spent my entire 3 hours in hardmode fooling around so I was totally unprepared.

If you ever find a boss you're unprepared for, unless you're on hardcore, it's easier to just intentionally die.
