I always disliked how rare Golden furnature is, and how little you can get from the Pirates. Also, Dutchman doesn't drop anything! Introducing: Pyrite!

What is Pyrite?

Pyrite is the fancy shmancy word for "fool's gold", a metal often mistaken for gold. So it would make sense why the Pirates would carry this around, trying to trick some fool into buying the stuff. (I also like the simalarity between pyrite and pirate.) In Terraria, Pyrite is very durable, making awesome pirate tools and weapons, as well as furnature. Pyrite is dropped in great amounts from Captains and Flying Dutchmen.

It appears to look like gold, exept has a more brassy look.

Crafted with Pyrite Bars

Crafted with 12 bars, shoots cannon balls that bounce once and explode.

Now crafted with 12 bars.

Pyrite Armor
An armor set that benefits Magic and Summoning. In total, gives 3 summons, 5% increased summon damage, 18 defense, and 12% Magic damage. Set Bonus: Pyrite armor is basically a berserker armor. A full set makes up for defense by increasing (magic and summon)damage by 75%.

Let's see, lunar flare with this armor, 187 damage not counting the modifier and other accessories.
lol, that's better than the nebula armor by a huge amount, not even collecting the three buffs would make up for it!
