Switch Queen bee too fast for me:(

SO im doing my first ever summoner playthrough, also my first expert playthrough, ive beaten skeletron, i have obsidian armor, but im struggling becuase the spinal tap wont give me the extra dps(broken currently)
Anyway I know im not horrible at the game, i just dont know what im doing wrong.

My current loadout is:
- Obsidian armor
- Snapthorn (spinal tap is broken)
- Imp staff
- Obsidian sheild
- Cthulu's sheild
- Spectre boots
- Blue horseshoe balloon
- Worm scarf

I have like 4-5 platinum coins so I can reforge any of these but just wondering about any specific strategies anyone might have.

I'm doing an expert constant summoner playthrough rn and I've found that fighting QB in an open space with honey pools & campfires can help. I didn't use arenas so i relied on the slime mount & brain of confusion. Try getting at least the tier 2 well fed buff for better stats

Queen Bee in the open space secretly "enrages", making it much faster to deal with.

I found it fighting underground in an open space easier.
