I've reviewed a forum thread about which hardmode armor sets are the best, I haven't figured out if I should do adamantite or titanium, could someone tell me which one is better in general?

Adamantite armour has higher defence and requires fewer bars for a full set.
Titanium armour has higher stat increases and the Shadow Dodge effect but requires more bars for the full set.
Personally I think Titanium armour is better for the buff, but fighting bosses comes down to preparation more so than armour: potion buffs, an arena, good accessories and so on. You'll probably replace Adamantite/Titanium with Hallowed or Chlorophyte armour later, so you won't be holding onto the armour for too long.

It's up to you what you think is more important to your playstyle: higher defence or higher attack. That'll tell you which armour set you should use.
