Random disconnecting constantly

To me this sounds like an issue with your internet connection rather than a bug with the game.
The issue is easy to understand without a recording, I don't think it's needed here.
I'm also experiencing this.
My steam friend is hosting a game via steam, and has other players on the server. When I join, I consistently will lose connection within 5-10 minutes of playtime on the server, and am presented with the Terraria menu and "Lost Connection" displayed, no other info is present.
I have verified integrity of my game files, and no issues are present there.
I have verified that my game version (1.4.1.2) matches the version that the host is on.
I have verified that all tmodloader files are deleted, and the mod manager is uninstalled.
Tried rebooting steam, pc, and network, all to no avail.

I had my friend move his server from the "Host & Play" option to a dedicated server and the disconnects went away. Seemed to be an issue when it was hosted via that option.
If anyone else has this issue, try going to a dedicated server.

In 10 out of 10 cases, general connection loss issues are caused by the internet, and not the game. Could be your router, computer, your ISP, or just any piece of hardware in between your computer and the server (there are probably tens of devices in there for the average connection).
