Game Mechanics Rare enemies don't despawn. (As much.)

Has it ever happened to you that you're walking along in the caverns, and your Rare Enemies detector goes wild? You see "Lost Girl" flash across your screen and you race to find them. You even turn on your handy Hunter Potion, but then "Lost Girl" becomes "No rare creatures nearby" ... and you become crestfallen. You walk the other way, thinking that you just got out of range, but the phrase "Lost Girl" doesn't reappear until next Tuesday when you have five minutes to play because your grandmother is over and wants to use the computer just when you have another chance. :( Aww.

There are two possible solutions here:

1) (And this is in my signature.) An arrow will spawn indicating the direction of the rare creature. This way at the very least, you know exactly where to look.

2) If it does appear and despawns, an internal timer will begin and each time you lose the creature again, your chances of finding it within the next minute will increase radically, almost to the point where it's almost always around you somewhere until you kill (or rescue) it.

Basically, not everyone can play with an insane resolution that's zoomed all the way out to see all of the enemies around you.
