All of the banners for the state of the game announcements have spoilers in them but they can be hard to see and it can be hard to tell what is/is'nt a new 1.4.5 feature.
So I have started recreating the banners in 1.4.4 so I can compaire them. Any 1.4.5 furnature/blocks have been replaced with a 1.4.4 equivalent.
Here is what I have done so far:
Edit: I have added part 2 to this post and reformated the original set to fit better with the rest of them. This post now has every SOTG in order from Dec 2025 to Nov 2022! Please let me know if you see any mistakes :)

Notes: This one was fun to put together and I am quite proud of how I recreated the wood texture (its a mix of dynasty, shadewood, rich mahogany and living mahogany, all painted brown.) Btw the tops of the lamps are chrismas tree toppers that have just been dropped on the floor, which is why one of them is a bit off kilter.

P.S: did you know that the texture for living mahogany is re randomised when you enter and exit a world? Because I didn't :| I hpoe they change that at some point because being able to select a specific texture is handy for builders.
New stuff:
  • New walls (pine leaf + wood).
  • New pine wood furniture (workbench, lamp, candle, Chandelier, platform, lantern, clock, sofa/bench)
  • Resprited pine table, door and chair.
  • New wood type + pine tree block rework.
  • (wo)manequins seen riding mounts and using weapons.
  • New pine sink and bookcase in jars?

Notes: This one was probably the hardest to do due to the nature of the new moonplate blocks. I ended up using a mix of blue painted pearlstone brick and smooth granite as well as both white and negative painted sunplate to replicate the new block. Also this is another example of Banner house 1. Edit: What Banner house one is gets explained in the notes for August 2025.
New stuff:
  • Moonplate block!
  • Moonplate platforms, walls,table, chairs, doors, lanterns, lamp, and chest
  • What looks like a moon themed version of the Eye of the Sun.
  • Placed pumpkin pie and Roasted Duck.
  • Mannequins can be seen using a weapon as well as riding a mount.
  • New Accessory in the lefthand jar, looks like the same one from november 2024

Notes: I think the original building is made of smooth sandstone, (which is the same thing I used.) but I am not certain. I think it might have a new texture. The second block (represented by deep orange painted pink slime block) is entirely new I think, my guess is some sort of amber brick. There seems to be a new furniture set with a really modern style. Also you seem to be able to place lanterns on hammered platforms now, which is why I had to use candles to represent them. The painting is also new and hasn't been spoiled anywhere else I don't think. The player avatar is wearing a welding mask type thing and has some sort of shadowy aura behind them. Not sure what that's about. Something from Dead cells maybe. The jars have the stress ball and some sort of new purple feather item in them.

EDIT: turns out the "shadowy aura" is just a new hairstyle or maybe a vainity item?

Notes: New stone furniture set! I really like the way the clock looks like a sundial. I can't quite make out what's in either of the jars but they seem to be new items. The stool is used to represent what I think is a bird perch for the golden bird. The little dirt mound is the anchor point for the gold squirrel and the golden dragonfly seems to be attached to a bowl with some water and a plant in it???

Notes: More stone furnature! The big painting is the new R/place painting. You can see the new RC car and the CRT filter thingy in the jars and a new camera/projector furniture Item on the roof. The october house is the same as this one, just with different blocks, walls and furniture. We will be seeing this build again so I dub it "Banner house 1".

Notes: Not much to say about this one, there is a new item in the right hand jar and in front of the reef bathtub that looks kinda like a starbit from Mario Galaxy, the left hand jar has something I can't identify that definately seems new. Not sure if I used all the correct banners on the bottom? Maybe one of them is new idk.

Notes: We can see the new hallowed bookcase and lantern. The minotaur pet has a new sprite and there is a new item in the jar which I can't identify. The player charater also seems to be wearing a new vanity set.

Notes: Banner house 1 is back and essentially the same as in august. We can see new bar tables though and whilst brown painted green dungeon chairs look pretty similar to the chairs in the image when sat upon I am pretty sure these are actualy new bar stool sprites. (I hope the old bar tables/stools are still available as "ancient bar furnature" or something but these new sprites look pretty cool.) we see the feather again in the left jar and the right jar contains the same mask as worn in the october state of the game

  • The right hand jar looks like it has a swarm grenade from dead cells
  • I suspect the cobwebs in this image are the sparkly ones we saw in a previous spoiler.

Notes: With this one I spent alot of time making sure the snowflake wallpaper matched the original, not sure it was worth it...

  • Pretty sure the bag of gold in the item frame is new, although we can already place something similar using the rubblemaker.

  • The christmas pudding seems to be placed directly on the table, which isn't possible in 1.4.4.
  • The lefthand jar has some sort of new shield item in it. Perhaps a Dead Cells item I can't identify?

Notes: I could not be bothered getting all the NPC's for this one lol.

  • More placeable food.
  • New banquet table + bar stools
  • new pink banner colour + resprites for red,green,blue and yellow banners (the symbols on each of these is now actually different.)
  • fallen star lamp.
  • the left hand jar looks like it has a new accessory in it. Perhaps some sort of voice changer?
  • The right hand jar looks like it has a new boulder in it.
  • I don't know if I am imagining something but does the wood texture at the bottom seem a little bit different between the two images? Perhaps it has been updated in 1.4.5? Edit: I made a mistake and used regular wood instead of dynasty for that bit. The recration has been updated with the correct wood type.

Notes: Not sure why they made this house so hard to enter, I had to use the rod of harmony just to get in and out.
New stuff:
  • The pumkin candles seem to be placed directly on walls? Either that or they're useing echo platforms and this house is just unenterable.
  • Pumpkin pie is placed on a table again.
  • The left-hand pot seems to have a new item in it. Looks like a flute to me.

Notes: I really wish there was some way to directly mine unsafe walls, because makeing the background for this one was annoying. I had to go all the way up to the surface just to replace a few hardened sand walls with sandstone walls.

  • The player looks to be wearing the new mining helmet.
  • The item in the pot is the ram rune from dead cells (don't know why I originaly saw it as balloons).

Notes: This is it, the final build! Obviously there's nothing new here, as they've barely even started working on 1.4.5 at this point. Kinda funny that both the first and last build in this thread are both of Banner house 1.

Analysis
October 2025:

Notes: This one was probably the hardest to do due to the nature of the new moonplate blocks. I ended up using a mix of blue painted pearlstone brick and smooth granite as well as both white and negative painted sunplate to replicate the new block. Also this is another example of Banner house 1.
New stuff:
  • Moonplate block!
  • Moonplate platforms, walls,table, chairs, doors, lanterns, lamp, and chest
  • What looks like a moon themed version of the Eye of the Sun.
  • Placed pumpkin pie and Roasted Duck.
  • Mannequins can be seen using a weapon as well as riding a mount.
  • New Accessory in the lefthand jar, looks like the same one from november 2024

October-April 2025 can be seen in Part 1.

Bumping this thread because I have added the December 2025 SOTG banner! Also done some reformating of the main post. (I'm pretty sure this is a legitimate reason but let me know if it isn't.)

How do you recreate banners that contain blocks that are yet to be added? Do you use colour-similar blocks?

Actualy the block texture is often more important than the colour itself, as well as how it blends with other blocks. I can usually use paint to change the colour of the block if it doesn't match. For more complicated textures I might end up using a combination of different blocks, its like a fun puzzle :)
For example, in the Dec 2025 banner I used a mix of different woods painted brown to replicate the new pine wood texture, they all blend well when used this way:

Crazy dedication! Love seeing this type of stuff. Assuming that January will be the last SotG of the upcoming update, I'm curious to see what you'll do with that one.

What happened to the December 2022 post? Isn't it like the first month in which they worked on 1.4.5? Or did they take a long break in that month and skipped it? Maybe I'm just missing something obvious.

I'm glad you liked my builds :) The January SotG will hopefully be post 1.4.5 so it might be a part of a new thread on potential 1.4.6 stuff. Idk if I want to continue this series post 1.4.5 tho so it might just end up here as a sort of bookend to this thread. It will be nice to actually have all the blocks available for a recreation for once lol.

The Dec 2022 SotG never happened because the Redigit team were on break.
