Mobile Rod Of Discord Farm

Hi guys I’m new to the forums. I’m just wondering if anyone can tell me why this farm isn’t spawning chaos elementals and if it can eventually with some changes

Hi there @Baguettte welcome to the forums. :)

Although you have enough pearlstone blocks to make a Hallow biome to get Souls of Light, I believe what's stopping Chaos Elementals from showing up is that there isn't any pearlstone (or pearlsand or pink ice) near enough to you. They like to spawn close to you, but to do so they'll need pearlstone to do so.
 
Sorry it took me awhile I had to go do something but i replaced a lot of the nearby blocks with pearl stone and the inside of the farm with it. I haven’t seen any chaos elementals yet but almost all of the skeleton archers stopped spawning

Ok I converted all of that to hallow blocks that seemed to remove normal mob spawns like skeleton archers and stuff but I’m only getting black recluses and gem critters now

You might have to move the town.
And don’t forget to move around or use items for the chaos elemental to spawn(and don’t stand behind walls)
 
ok so I was in the middle of digging hellavators around some hallow that started destroying my desert and needed to be removed and I killed a random chaos elemental and got the rod of discord :D

And that's how mafia works; you either get something out of pure happenstance after unsuccessfully grinding it for hours, or long after it's actually useful
