I smile. Something seems to be different about me.

 

[Murphmario]

"Uh... why didn't you say anything? Usually people react to me when I say stuff like that."

 

[Cubic.]

I look at you.

"I mean, I wholly agree that it would be nice to not have the world be mechanized. I'm just enjoying the water right now."

I seem to be really happy. Unusually happy.

 

[Murphmario]

"Well then. You seem quite chipper today."

 

[Cubic.]

I look at you.

"Hm? Oh, that. I don't know how to explain that."

 

[Murphmario]

((BTW Alpha will be gone for quite a few hours tomorrow because road trips. And as someone who takes long road trips to see my family every christmas... yeah, those are a pain.))

"...I'm starting to think that something's going on."

 

[Cubic.]

"Really? You don't say?"

I smile wider. At this point it's almost like I'm euphoric.

 

[Murphmario]

"Yeah. You both knowing not what the cocoon thing is and not knowing why you're so happy."

 

[Cubic.]

I go wide eyed at how you related those both, as if I'm hiding something.

"Er... Speaking of the thing, I don't think it's a cocoon. Cocoons are used to protect an amorphous being, like a caterpillar, from outside harm whilist undergoing metamorphosis."

The way I said that sounds a little odd, like I'm hiding something.

"Yeah... something's off here."

 

[Cubic.]

You notice the way I'm swimming is similar to an aquatic creature.

"Er... Maybe I'm just a little mana sick?"

Okay, that one's an obvious lie.
