I've been playing this game for some time with this strategy, this is a game that sometimes the player gets involved in "Grind" in various ways with "Farms" of all kinds coming out of these things with several accumulated items, items that can be worth some when sold, I keep these items in some chests in my base for that, I think it's better than going there to the happier NPC whenever there's something to sell, especially if this specific NPC for some reason is living far away, so when all the chests with these items get full, I take a moment just to sell everything at once, this way seems to be easier IMO.
