Yes ms

Everyone needs to take a step back to calm down. It's getting too personal and moving away from the topic. If you cannot be respectful, please do not post.

I agree, if it gets bad again I'll signal you guys to lock the thread. I'm fine with constructive criticism but I don't appreciate people calling me names over this for no reason.

Irrespective, as I stated above, if Re-Logic were to revisit this content, a secret seed would be ideal. Its optional for those who dislike it, but would allow those who do like it to be able to play it.

Ocram’s ai was fundamentally broken to a degree that if relogic tried their best to code it in the exact same conceptual way today it would actually be an extremely inaccurate representation of the original fight.
His rotation section of his ai was incorrectly synced, which caused his entire hitbox to be drastically different visually from where it actually was and made his projectiles behave in extremely strange ways. It’s actually kind of a big issue even if they figure out how to emulate it, because it creates a bit of a dilemma: Do you fix the rotation and completely alter the feel and flow of the original fight to feel basically unrecognizable, or do you intentionally code it in as broken and glitchy as it was for all of its lifespan, going out of your way to manually add all the poor code and leaving it in the game?
Option 1 leaves people who remember the original fight and like it (somehow) unsatisfied, while option 2 is a bad look for re-logic and could actually damage their reputation.
There is a third option, which is to rework the fight entirely, but wouldn’t it be easier to just make a new boss from scratch at that point? Ocram has very very little substance to actually make a rework from and as a result would be quite challenging to retain the feel of in a new fight.

For this situation, I think that the past should stay in the past. Old-gen Terraria was incredibly lazy and broken, and Red wants nothing to do with it. I don't think suggestions should be blinded by nostalgia. Sorry, no support.

It’d just be a fun Easter egg; it’s not like they’re suggesting to replace the whole game. Also, if they hate old Terraria so much and we’ll never get anything related to it then please explain this
Just because old Terraria was kind of… iffy doesn’t mean we can’t have fun callbacks like this

They kinda were though. A part of their post literally suggested to bring back Ocram.
Also, if the dev hates old Terraria so much and “wants nothing to do with it” then please explain this
The devs don't hate old Terraria, they hate old-gen console Terraria. 1.1 and 1.2 didn't have Ocram and Lepus, but the old-gen console version did.

We already have Ocram's Razor and the death message about Ocram. Personally, I think those two things are enough.

This last part may be a bit harsh, and apologizes if it hurts anyone's feelings, but I don't think we really need to reference that trash anymore than we already have.

They kinda didn’t though. Unless I’m misunderstanding something or there was a later post I haven’t seen, they suggested a separate special seed in which we have Ocram. If at any point they suggest to ad Ocram outside of the seed, the. I agree that’s a bad idea.
Not saying I even like Ocram, in fact it’s a terrible boss, but it would be a fun secret seed exclusive thing.

Fair enough lol

Yeah, sorry if I came off as harsh in that last bit.

I don't see how making the boss intentionally glitchy as part of the seed would damage their reputation after they've done something like get fixed boi. I think if they were to do this, would be to emulate it. Making the boss intentionally adherent and bad wouldn't be a big deal. And again, This suggestion is broken up into tiers as I have reiterated. I spoofed Ocram as well, I am not disagreeing with the fact it was a poorly made and thought out boss, which is the reason I think if they really wanted to, it would be shoved into a secret seed.
Best case, I think they should focus on adding back the "vibes" and some enemies from the version.

If they remade ocram, frankly they should put it in the main progression between golem & lunatic cultist, but thats a different topic wholly unrelated to this discussion.

I spoofed it.... but I suggested it in the third tier of more unrealism. I dont actually expect, only if they decide to go all out. Realistically I'm not 100% suggesting that. Should've made it more clear.

Oh. I understand.

I appreciate this suggestion, as the old weapons and armor of that bygone age would still have use, the dragon armor is god tier for combining speed and damage, and the venom spear is something I really wish were back.

However, I dont believe a seed would be in order but rather as suggested, a separate edition of 1.2.4 with the ocram items.

Exclusive and removed stuff aside, i think it would be fun to have a seed that just had the old textures, lighting, and world gen. I feel like it gave the game a more darker and mysterious tone.
