Portfolio/Multi-Topic Segmented ideas related to the Dungeon Biome

  1. Armored Cavefish used to craft very cool Endurance Potion which grans 10% damage reduction. And you can easily get this fish right from the rise of the world. I suggest moving Armored Cavefish to the Dungeon, making it Dungeon Exclusive fish, i.e. Post-Skeletron.
    • Also it would be nice to rename it - Armored Bonefish, add some bones in the sprite and mainly recolor it to gray. I mean c'mon, even potion is gray, so why fish is Violet?
    • It can be buffed a litle, like 13% damage reduction instead 10%. Would greatly synergize with Worm Scarf giving overall 30% damage reduction.
  2. Obviously enough there are couple of Quest Fishes that would fit in the Dungeon better than in Underground or Cavern lakes.
  3. Dungeon pits no longer generate without water. It either full, either 1/2 or 1/4 filled.
  4. Dungeon Biome has one of the highest Biome priority in the game. However, no personal water color. It means if Dungeon is in underground Tundra water will be cold and blue. I suggest new color for water - Almost pitch black with green hue (#001c07, see attached screenshot)
  5. Pit traps will be more hazardous, because while submerged in this Dungeon murky water Player will be constantly damaged. Death message is 'Player was killed by something in the murky Dungeon water'
  6. Also every single contact with this water puts Cursed debuff. Probably because these waters are cursed.
  7. Lesser cracked dungeon bricks upon world generation. Because it's pain to break them AND those bricks closes potencial places for unique Dungeon furniture to spawn. As a result, you have many hollow passages in your Dungeon with no natural furniture. I'd like to see those Cracked Bricks only above Pit Traps.
  8. All skeletons can drop bones after Skeletron was defeated. Armored Skeleton, Skeleton Archer, Tim, Rune Wizard, pre-HM skeletons, Bone Serpent (30-45 bones), etc.

Not sure about the cavefish being moved, but I love the other ideas! Especially the water color, dark green is such a nice color but it's so rare to see it in use sometimes!

About Cavefish - I'd just like to make Dungeon fishing relevant. I mean no one fishes in the Dungeon except Skyblock of course.

Fair point. Maybe there could be other basic fish in the dungeon too, or even some new ones?

  1. I disagree with moving the Armored Cavefish; it's annoying to get already, moving it to the Dungeon would just make it harder.
  2. I don't think there should be any post-Skeletron quest fishes, that would inconvenience players who like doing fishing quests early on in the game.
  3. I disagree with this. Having them all have water would reduce the risk of fall damage, make it really annoying to escape, and make it harder to see and collect paintings. Also, a lot of times when post-Plantera, enemies tend to go in pits. Having water there would make them less hard to see.
  4. I agree that the Dungeon should have its own water color, but that doesn't seem like a good color. It would probably be better as dark blue.
  5. Dungeon pits with water in them are hard enough to escape, making a debuff from being in them would be horrible! Especially when enemies die when in or above pits; You would have to suffer damage to collect the loot!
  6. Cursed would make it even worse; Having it be from Cursed Skulls is bad enough, but from touching water as well? That's EVIL. And what about people who fight Fishron Pre-Plantera?
  7. That would remove half of the reason why cracked bricks exist.
  8. This is a really good idea, though I'm not sure how easy it would be for the devs to implement.

It's already dark blue underground:

Yeah, but this is Water color for depth Forest (Plain) biome. I think Dungeon specific color would be cool.
That's why I stated that, Green suggested dark blue when that's already in the game.

  1. Bro, it's hard to get Armored Cavefish? You can get like 30 of those for 10 minutes with average fishing power.
  2. Dungeon related Quest fish will be unlocked only after Skeletron is defeated.
  3. It makes sense about paintings.
  4. Dark Green? There are no dark green water, I guess that will be better.
  5. fifty fifty here. That's the whole reason of those traps, to avoid them.
  6. Why Fishron? I don't understand. Yeah, cursed might seem dangerous, but it makes Nazar more viable.
  7. The only reason cracked bricks exist is hiding pit traps. Their only good purpose.
  8. You joking? That's the easiest option for realisation of this list.
