Other Shield idea.

In my opinion, They should add an accessory like the soaring insignia which boosts shields. Like "Shield Charm" which allows you to use the blocking action like the Brand of the Inferno gives. Soaring insignia would boost wings while Shield Charm could boost shields. A little idea that could be in a future update. Maybe shields at higher tiers would give better blocks. Like cobalt and obsidian shield blocking a bit while paladin or hero shield blocks a lot.

It would allow you to guard like the brand of inferno. Therefore letting you take less damage while guarding. Get the brand of inferno an you'll see.

In that case this thing would be almost completely useless. 20 temporary defense is not a fair exchange for being forced to move slowly and stop attacking.

well the way you use it can be quick to block something real quickly like the ufo laser or moonlord laser, or other projectiles. Its not passive, and if you can use it right it'd be really useful and tactical.

20 defense does not do nearly enough protection against those kinds of attacks. You're saving a single heart of damage at most with that.
