Items Should Chester function like the Expert Mode Minecart Upgrade Kit?

I've been on a big Terraria kick lately and this part of progression has got me thinking, should Chester from Deerclops work in a similar way that the Minecart Upgrade Kit works? I find that I have pets that I like the look of in-game, but once I get Chester early on I never want to replace him because having an always open piggy bank following you at all times is so convenient.

Obviously to add the extra animations and sounds for every pet to look and feel the same way as Chester would be a monumental task for a small issue. However, it does feel like Chester outclasses all other pets for an equipment slot on a character where it shouldn't be about "outclassing" other options, it should be about expressing yourself as a player.

i agree that i always have to come back to chester as hes just objectively better than any other pet, which especially sucks in on master mode with those cool pet drops
