Xbox One Should I restart my playthrough on xbox?

I just entered hardmode before the final update and now that it is here, there is more content to the game and not all of the mew features will work on my main world. Should I restart fresh and experience the new stuff or should i continue to progress through my main world and finish.

Personally, I always start a new character and world after a major update.

I want to experience everything, and playing with an existing characer/world makes you miss so much. You will probably discover new items etc., but by that point they are already well past there usefulness, and end up getting stashed or trashed.
