Just started playing Terraria a few days ago after years and this is my current base. It's always a work in progress but am quite happy with it for now.

I built this just a bit ago actually, waiting for 1.3.5 to come out so I can generate another world and move.... (Sorry non PC peps) It has a teleporting station (WIP), a trophy room (incase you couldn't tell), way too much storage, an annoyingly large crafting room, a Golem fight room (he's stuck in there while I sit around waiting for my Stardust dragon to kill him), dining area (useless), mob traps just outside the doors (and a peace candle, so they mostly kill critters), rooms for the two NPCs I actually like, my room (with all the gold), a neat pond to the right, tree farm to the left, and an underground jungle biome below. Oh, and a DD2 room.

An outpost base I made after finishing the game. Its called the Meteorite Tower. The doors open via player above sensor, and the switch in the bedroom turns off all the lights.

This monstrosity just kind of got bigger over time. I originally just planned to make a small camp on top of the first tree, but then i ended up building my entire base around it. growing on top is a little ice biome, in the valley between thw two trees is a mushroom biome, and underground is a jungle.
