Development is off and on and there are no guarantees that it is being updated or that it is discontinued, often times updates are years apart.

The Slime Biome Mod is a WIP, but it is a mod about Slimes
Download: Quethed/Slime_Biome
there is not much content at the moment.
Right now there is:
1 buff
23 Walls, Some Unsafe
41 Tiles, 2 Ores, some unobtainable
10 NPCs, Including Example Mod's Flutter Slime (with modifications), some unobtainable
75 Items, some Unobtainable
Plans:
remove useless carvings
unlock y axis
possibly change name of "sticky repellant"
retexture slime wood, weak gel block, slime trees, and polished slime wall
increase quick slime sword damage or remove sword
possibly make a slime wasteland
support slime rain
add a "mushy" or "very damp" slime block
possibly remove glow minibiome and replace it
add a slime dungeon
possibly remove red minibiome and replace it
add slime merchant

The walls in the biome should spawn similar to jungle
Add more things to kill

Wright more world gen scripts that you can enable/disable in the config
Notes:
1: Slime Staff is a 1% Drop from non-HardMode enemys in the biome
2: Raid dungeon before approaching biome, in hardmode kill a mech boss before approaching
3: Slime torches make no sense
4: Voting for flutter slimes ended with 5 yes, 0 no. (I am keeping flutter slimes if example mod is ok)
5: The position is locked to 2/3 down Y axis (Any size, even custom), but anywhere on the X
6: EVERYTHING in the WG of the biome is scaled by "maxTilesX" in the world stats, extra large worlds work

Known bugs:
furniture in the eye can be buggy in placement
havent changed the map color of red minibiome
The mini-biomes spawn too close together, and too close to the center
The oasis is filled with geysers
any increased melee speed may break the quick slime sword, because it is already close to the computer max
if aligning is just right, at just the right spot, jungle temple will cut the middle (It is somehow that massive)
if the oasis is clean from rails destroying houses (or at all) then you are lucky
