Mobile Slime king bug

last time I had a slime rain, I killed a ton of slimes causing the slime king to spawn. This is only the second time I have had him spawn. The first time I died but I remember them being a bit to the side of where I was

So I traveled to my left (towards my house) and they spawned in my nurse npc room

Im preety sure thats not supposed to happen so I exited without saving out of panic and then the nurse was saved and the slime rain ended

Please tell me if what I did was wrong or if this is a bug

Nope, this is just normal boss spawning mechanics. A random spot is picked and checked to see if it's a viable spawn location (in this case, he can only spawn above ground. He'll also quite often teleport into houses to try to get to you.
If you look at the map right after spawning a boss you'll notice that they'll spawn pretty much anywhere.
