My characters would follow Cohm.

What Halt only cares about is that he's assigned to a quarter, so he follows Cohm.
Thartler follows Cohm as well to his quarters. "Guess that will do."
"Well, end of session then for today." Victoria giggles a bit, before going to her own quarters. Well, following Cohm to go to her quarters.
We'll pick up here tomorrow. We might have something more urgent than who does what, but I hope not.

Tan(going to his quarters).

*Around six hours later, the intercom crackles on* EVERYBODY OUT OF BED! I NEED YOU ALL IN THE COCKPIT, NOW. WAIT, :red:. IS THE VOLUME TOO FAR UP? *Dial turning* That's better, right? Not an emergency. Sorry.

My characters would head to the cockpit.

(May as well respond because silly me is awake way too early.)

Halt appears to default the alert into 'going to last space that he visited', thus he goes there.

"Ah... darn, not much sleep." Thartler heads to the cockpit, wondering why would they crackle on like it was an emergency.

It takes a moment to wake Victoria up... "A few more minutes..." But then after those few minutes, she wakes up and heads to there as well.

Ah, good morning. Sorry to wake you up early, but we have our first assignment! It's an easy one for training purposes, but... I'll fill you in on the details one everyone arrives.

Tan also gets up and walks to the cockpit.

"Hmm... alriiighty...?" It shows that Victoria is still feeling a bit sleepy by her yawning.

Oh dear, still tired? *sighs* I'll try not to do this in the future... if we complete enough missions successfully, I think I can apply for temporal distortion sleeping quarters.

(Everest, after exploring the ship a while, finds her way into the cockpit.) "Oh, well look who it is."

(She stares down Cohm for a moment before inspecting the controls of the ship. Her face seems perplexed at the technology, her "eyes" darting from one button/lever/screen to the next,)

Please don't touch anything. Hey! I got permission from command to hire you as a kind of mercenary instead of a crew member. You'd still be obligated to help us, but you would work on your own.

Thartler then looks at everyone, having had arrived with others. "So. What assignment then? Is it dealing with local zombie horde terrorizing a village or..."

Glad you asked. We have been assigned to investigate a suspiciously behaving cargo ship in a nearby sector. It's probably a thruster malfunction, but we do need to check it out anyway.

"Caravel? Cog or..." Halt really needs to have this explained to him like how someone would explain a spaceship to a medieval person.

Analogy needed? I see. Uh... Yes, I suppose it is like a caravel... and with these caravels, we make our own wind and don't need sails. The thing we have to do that probably isn't working.

"So a stranded ship. Wouldn't be surprised we need fight rivals." Halt says rivals for some reason that isn't obvious to anyone instead of pirates.

Tangential Thing is standing idly; he has nothing to contribute to the conversation, nor any questions to ask.
He's waiting... and calculating.

Thartler just glares at Halt. "Look, as far as I know, that could also be just a repair the engine or 'thing' powering that ship, with nothing dangerous."
Halt rolls eyes at the naivety of the ranger. "Ya' think they rivals care ship no sail? Ta' ship a target amid seas."
