Hello! I've never made an RP before, but this was a cool idea I had and I decided that you have to start somewhere.
The basic concepts/starting info/rules:

The basic concepts/starting info/rules:
- Everyone will make/reuse between 1 and 4 OCs
- 4 applicants max, 3 min (enough for the gimmick to work, not so many I can't track it)
- IC thread will be made once all applicants are in and I finalize the story (I'll replace this line with the link when I do make it)
- The gimmick: Every now and then (this will be more specific later) who controls which character(s) will be swapped randomly (@Esther will only swap with her own characters due to personal uncomfort)
- Ok, people keep misunderstanding this, and I explain it badly, so I'm going to rewrite the gimmick a little. When characters swap, their minds are swapped but the bodies stay. People will always control the same minds, but the bodies are different. So a character might not act like they're supposed to because there's a different character controlling them.
- I'll try not to have you control the same character(s) too much
- Please have the power level be around that of a 20th level DND character for balance (I'll let you adjust on the fly if you're too weak or strong)
- Power levels will go up over time
- I don't have a combat system worked out yet sorry

Equipment: A pair of arm blades shaped like wings (think Skarmory's wings in particular). They seem to have an ice-element property on them.
Abilities: Starlight Magic (from Abronia's system; it's kind of similar for now to Celestial Magic from Floralis' system, but I'll make it different from that later on). [I'll design his jewel tomorrow!]
Strengths: Pretty quick at figuring out if an enemy has any elemental weaknesses. Easy to coordinate with in battle.
Weaknesses: Like any Abronian mage, if he loses his jewel then his magic is rendered practically useless.
Seems to be kinda prone to getting possessed. (And yes, I give permission to specifically target him with evil spirits for this reason)
He's not an incredible mage; his spells take a while to set up, and deal reduced damage if not set up properly first.

Other: The flower attached to his hat changes color depending on the color(s) of the soul(s) in his body. This makes it quite easy to tell when he's being possessed. If for any reason there are no souls in Aithlin's body (for example if his soul is disconnected fully), the flower becomes a fully neutral grey color.
((I winged it even harder than I winged it on Emiel, one of my internal convo statements was "I have no idea what I'm doing so anything's good if it makes the slightest amount of sense!"))

Personality: Semi-reserved, easy to get along with, though she can get frustrated quickly when people argue because "My best friends seem to argue on a daily basis and it's really annoying."
Equipment: Her lantern stick. She often uses it like a staff (the melee kind, not the magic kind), but can also use the lantern as an Illuminant class weapon.
When used as an Illuminant weapon, the lantern summons thorned vines around Kaylen that lightly damage anything that tries to attack her with a melee weapon, while generally shielding her pretty well from ranged attacks.
She also often has gadgets with her, though the selection varies every time depending on what Jerry supplied her with for the day.

Anyone hit by the leaves will feel extremely disoriented for about 30 seconds to a minute, likely too disoriented to be able to do much. Only deals damage during the day, and takes longer to charge.
Moonstone Flower: Boosts the power and effect of other nearby spells, and emits light.
Vines: Do I really need to explain these?
Harvester: Basically acts as a sort of camera. Phyllon can focus to see what’s going on around the plant created with this spell.

A spell that creates a small floating orb, which can be used to either give an ally energy if they need it, or as an attack by launching it forward with either another spell or with his sword. Weaker during the day, and takes more energy to create.

Crystal Dust: Takes a bit to charge, but can be used as a weak-decent AoE general heal/cure thing or weak AoE damage. Even weaker during the day.
Snowglobe: Essentially a barrier, which not only protects but also hides those inside. Takes a while to set up though, and Phyllon can’t cast any other spells while the barrier is active.

Gender: Soul is male, but body is atomized and synthesized on a molecular level during soulswaps in order to match the gender of the soul within it. For the purposes of this OC application, I will be using male pronouns, since I expect the IC will likely begin with the souls still in their original bodies.

Appearance: A simple robot, Tan is built mostly using rectangular prisms and spheres, the latter being used primarily for joints, but also for his head. He wears simple clothes too, but said clothes will, along with his body's gender, change according to whatever soul is in his body. However, they will always be solid colors.
Personality: He likes math, and he enjoys talking about math. He's outgoing and friendly, but quick to make and break friendships.

Sometimes the abilities are related, but far from either extremes, like the aforementioned lukewarm mage example, but sometimes other tangent-related abilities can occur. Possibly related to going on a tangent in a conversation, bringing a minor ability to the status of main ability, or even (the opposite ability)/(the adjacent ability). Tangential Thing's Tangential Abilities are very mysterious, and they haven't been tested until now, so all sorts of unexpected results might happen.

Weaknesses: He tends to get confused when he encounters stuff he doesn't understand. Also, characters with more mundane abilities, like being strong, or using technology, might be difficult to think of Tangential Abilities for.

Is a marksman and also able to carve himself some arrows in a pinch.
Strengths:
Has keen aim and is quite hasty to the point it's hard for a human to catch up with him. Surprisingly resistant to illness and bad food, considering no telling that he is this resistant.
Weaknesses:
Fire will wreck him, and so will electricity, little reason whatsoever. Quite bad at priorities, so if there are two or more pressing issues, he will start hesitating.

Personality:
Jaded to the point where it can be mistaken as hostility. Quite transactional in terms of selling illcit goods. Prideful of his abilities, and quite simplistic in terms of his approach to situation.

- An oak crossbow with hardy hemp string, a good enough blunt weapon.
- (32x) Iron-tipped wooden bolt. Retrievable, may break.
- Iron knife, jagged on the edge, built for bleeding the enemies dry or finishing them off.

A rather boring one, but he was born in a small village that was burnt into a pile of ash by a particularly territorial wyvern. Unable to piece their life together in a legal matter, they have turned into a live of banditry, thievery and most importantly, dragon slavery. Why? Dragon tournaments paid a pretty good prize for hunters who capture dragons.
Abilities:
Apart from his raw wits, Halt has no abilities to his name, except for marksmanship.
Strengths:
A life of crime had made him hardy and stout in combat. Studying draconic bodies whether he had killed or trapped, he has a pretty good understanding of what to hit on draconic bodies to weaken them. (Basically bonus against dragons.)
Weaknesses:
Not necessarily the most bright mind in the world, illiterate, even. Also has poor hearing due to some accident.

Other Info (Optional): Comes from medieval time period, where dragons and humans live in (sort of) harmony. Is a dragon slaver. Give or take 100 in-rp posts for some change... (or maybe an event?)
