Biomes & Nature Spawner Trap

The Destroyer
A trap that continuously spawns monsters when activated (like when a statue spawns a skeleton that then spawns more skeletons in a loop)
This would provide more challenge than most other traps and introduce the player to how timers work

Stepping on the pressure plate again will stop the timer.
But apart from that, I don’t know if this would fit the style of traps in the game currently. It would be the only trap to use a timer, the only trap to use two different wire colors, the only trap with a delay before activation (at least how it’s currently shown), and would be painfully obvious and easy to disarm.
That said, I do like the idea of statue traps being more dangerous, whether that be expanding the number of statues that can become traps, using Weighted Pressure Plates to activate them (a minimum of 2 enemies spawned, provided the player moves off of the plate), or something else.

i dont know wiring but why does it need different colors also the temple does have different colors for different traps

how its currently shown implys it could be fixed

ok this one i agree with so as a solution why not have it painted doesnt need to blend in perfectly just needs to match the general color scheme so its not completely obvious

If it was real the pressure plate would be the type that breaks, its more of a demo that literally what would appear in game
In my opinion its a pretty logical step for statue traps, I find it cool when spawned skeletons spawn more skeletons because it poses a challenge that's hard to disarm because its hard to get close enough to break it

All of the traps in the game are extremely easy to disarm, they more are to catch the player off guard, it is more obvious because of the bright red timer so it could have paint on it or be a special naturally generated version that is more hidden (and craftable at ecto mist)

Also maybe this trap could appear guarding more valuable loot, like the Deadman's chest and could even be activated by a Deadman's chest
