Blocks & Decoration [Sprites] Placeable materials

Approval! I had an ectoplasm idea like that a while ago, but you did it way better than I ever could!
 
I liked this thread years ago, but since it was necroed... Support! I want this so badly! Being able to place, loot and/or create more of the unobtainable items is what would benefit Terraria the most.
I particularly like the Gel pile idea. Maybe Pixie Dust could also form a pile, like coins?
