Weapons & Equip Statistics Journal

CyanideApple

Terrarian
Wouldn't a little book sitting in your inventory that tells you all the stats of that day be pretty useful? Well, it depends what you like, really.

This suggestion is for an item called a 'Stats Journal' that you can find in the dungeon on a bookshelf (Past level 100, so you have to defeat Skeletron first). What it does is tells you everything that you have done in that Terraria day (4:30 AM to the next 4:30AM is what the book counts as a day). Features include:
  • Steps
  • Kills (Amount)
  • Deaths (Amount)
  • Health Items/potions + Mana Potions Used
  • Blocks Broken
  • Blocks Placed
  • Jumps
  • A map of where you have been in the world (Marked by a red line)
  • Damage Dealt
  • Damage taken
  • NPCs talked to
  • Items Sold
  • Items Bought
Now, I think this would be quite useful if you are doing a kills challenge or something like that, or just want to show off how much time you spend walking on Terraria! Someone may agree with me but some not. Post your opinion down in the comments, and also if you have something to add, post that too! =D

I agree, this would be awesome, but I have more features:
  • fish caught (number)
  • fish caught (types)
  • bosses summoned
  • bosses slain
  • unique bosses summoned
  • unique bosses slain
  • average DPS
  • players slain
  • distance minecart'd
  • distance fallen
  • total critical strikes
  • distance flown
  • mana stars collected
  • lowest health (if you didn't die at all)
  • highest damage dealt in a single hit
  • lowest point (altitude)
  • whether you did the fishing quest (I forget this constantly!
  • Money gain/loss (Including inventory and piggy bank)
  • NPCs who died
  • NPCs who moved in
  • First day of hardmode

Also, the day should start and end at 4:30, just to match up with everything else in the game. (also to not mess up killed boss counts)
Also, you should be able to bookmark certain days to look back on later, and in the future, it will tell you that day's stats and how long ago that day was.

Wow! That's a huge list of ideas! I'm guessing 4:30 is when daytime actually starts then? I also agree that you should be able to look back on previous days and bookmark them :)

I think just finding it in the dungeon is a bit strange, it seems to me more like something the Merchant or Wizard would sell.
