Other Steam/GOG 1x Display Scaling mode

I wanted to suggest that disabling all special graphical effects(ie heat distortion or likewise) would allow enabling a 1x pixel mode where every pixel in game is an actual pixel on your display(this would double the visible screen space but as stated before you won't have any fancy effects and you may also have to use some frame pixel interpolation to keep things smooth while displaying like this.)

Also, I feel like this option should be hidden on resolutions over 1600x900 as thoes resolutions and above do not have scaling issues and therefore do not need this crutch.
