As the title of the post suggests, I can't open my Steam Overlay while in-game. This prevents me from joining my friend's world via Steam. My overlay definitely works on all my other games but for some reason, it doesn't seem to work on Terraria specifically.
Here are a list of things I tried before making this post:
Reinstalling the game.
Disabling then re-enabling the overlay.
Uninstalling Microsoft XNA then reinstalling.
Launching the game in admin.
Launching Steam in admin.
Setting the compatibility mode of both Steam and it's GameOverlayUI file to launch as admin.
Setting the compatibility mode of Terraria as admin.
I'm really desperate for solutions at this point. Not being able to join my friend's world, but him being able to join mine is all well however, I'd still want to be able to play w/ him on his world as well. If anyone has any insight on this (especially the game devs), please reply to this post as I'd greatly appreciate it.
