PC Stuck on "Joining {Player}"

This makes me so angry, I'm tempted to uninstall Terraria.

Every time I try to join my friend via Steam, it just gets stuck on "Joining {Player}". I've tried restarting Terraria, restarting my computer, even using other computers, and it still never seems to work. I can't join by IP either, because it doesn't let me click "accept" after I put in the port number. Please, somebody help me.

Is the server in question hosted by your friend? If so, what method are they using? Host & Play? The TerrariaServer executable?

host & play, and they are my friend.

I had this problem. Try having your friend launch the start-server-steam-friends executable in the game files.
