Weapons & Equip Suggestion for Terraria 2 about Weapon Balancing.

I'm not sure if suggestions for the sequel are even allowed here. But this seems like it's okay here. And I thought I'd throw it out there because I believe the sequel is still in brainstorming phase?

Anyway, the main idea: Weapon Scaling Similar to Dead Cells

Premise is basically, every weapon would be viable throughout the game. And buffs and stats would increase based on player upgrades and armor more than upgrading weapons. While that may sound a little boring at first, I'm also imagining most weapons being functionally unique. Different swing styles for each sword. Different ways spells are cast. Etc More of a quality over quantity approach.

There would still be reasons to upgrade and find new weapons and stuff. Early game swords would have limited reach and utility when compared to late game unlocks. But damage wise, you could kill the final boss with a wooden sword (without having to spend 3 hours whittling it down). It'd still take an immense amount of skill to do it. But it'd be more amount raw challenge itself, and less about your ability to spend a stupid amount of time on something.

Maybe crafted weapons are more basic. Swords being true melee based. Bows could vary in launch speed and arcs. As well as applied debuffs. Crafted magic would be more generic based spells (think gem staves). But found and looted weapons would have some special gimmick or style to them. Calamity and Dead Cells show theres a ton you could do with melee styled weapons. As well as ranged style weapons. And magic wouldn't be too hard to make anything for. Summoner almost already has this; minions are mostly entirely unique functionality wise.

I think this would allow for a lot of self-expression in the sequel. As well as interesting challenges. While still feeling somewhat similar to the original game. You could be the end game wizard who only uses ice themed weapons. Or the ranger who has a variety of shotguns. I also think this could be really interesting for pvp. Because you'd suddenly be able to pair up most of the games weapons against each other.
