Summoner armor should be buffed to give the user increased speed to ludacris levels. This would make summoners less of an underpowered class.

They aren't underpowered. Red himself said you aren't supposed to play summoner purely, meaning you're meant to use weapons from other classes alongside your minions. This actually makes summoner even stronger than all other classes.

But you don't get the benefits of let's say mage armor and accessories when going summoner and you have the lowest armor amounts.

When you are using two classes you are condemned to being limited on what accessories you can use for each class. A warrior wouldn't have to worry about how many ranger accessories to use in a warrior build.

Nevertheless, that doesn't stop people from wearing the awful frost armor, and summoner accessories also aren't common enough to not have to use other class accessories alongside them anyway.

But true summoners wouldn't want to. They need to accomodate for everyone. You can't just say, "oh, just play impure, there ya go, we don't need to work". They should still make a sufficient amount of minion weapons, and why is summoner armor the weakest? It should be the strongest, actually. Maybe a bit weaker than melee, but it should be incredibly thick.

Ok, but if you made pure summoners too strong, that would make impure summoners absolutely absurd.

No, literally nothing would stop impure summoners from using weapons from multiple classes. If you give an extremely easy thing to exploit, people can and will exploit it regardless of how honorable you are. Just look at nurse cheese.

Plus, it's actually Red's intent when designing summoner to reward creativity and thinking outside the box. If you make pure summoners, which go against this, as powerful as the other classes, impure summoners will turn into the "cheese EVERYTHING" class, while pure summoners will turn into the "I'm lazy and want minions to attack for me" class.
