Items Summoner Content in the Hardmode Dungeon

EparoBro

Terrarian
The Hardmode dungeon is a place full of loot and powerful monsters... For the main 3 classes however, summoners get nothing... Which has seemed a bit off.

Summoners get a lot less weapons than the other classes, and also don’t have much use for the dungeon so...

More summon stuff for the Hardmode Dungeon

First, 3 New Enemies
Skeleton Vampire!
These guys spawn in the standard backdrop in the dungeon, and have some special things going on.

HP: 600
Defense: 12
Damage: 80 (Melee)
Damage: 120 (Vampire Bats)
* Teleports when not hit or hit a lot.
Drops: Vampire Bat Staff (5%)

Skull Caster!
Brings up cursed skills, which burn in a green, yellow, blue or red flame!

HP: 600
Damage: 120 (Green) *Cursed Inferno
Damage: 120 (Yellow) *Ichor
Damage: 120 (Blue) * Slowness
Damage: 150 (Red) * On Fire!
Defense: 12
Teleports when not hit or hit a lot
Drops: Burning Skull Staff (5%)

Dragon Tamer!
This guy summons dragons, to no one’s surprise. They cast Illusion Wyverns similar to the phantasm dragons in the cultist fight.

HP: 600
Damage: 95 (Melee)
Damage: 170 (Wyvern’s head)
Damage: 140 (Wyvern’s body)
Damage: 100 (Wyvern’s Tail)
Defense: 12
Teleports when not hit or hit a lot
Drops: Illusion Wyvern Staff (5%)

Well now that the three enemies have been showcased a bit, how about the loot?

Vampire Bat Staff
48 Summon Damage
Fast Speed
Very Weak Knockback
Uses 10 Mana
Bats drain life and heal you
* So this is pretty nifty in that you get a 5% life steal from hitting stuff with bats. Their AI is similar to the ravens, but they sacrifice damage for life steal.

Burning Skull Staff
56 Summon Damage
Fast Speed
Average Knockback
Summons burning skulls to fight for you
* So one thing not mentioned is that these come in many colors! The first cast will always give a red, which inflicts On Fire! The next is a green or yellow depending on your world’s evil, and then a blue if you are in Hardmode. Green and yellow skulls inflict Cursed Inferno or Ichor (Go figure).

Illusion Wyvern
41 Summon Damage
Fast Speed
Very Weak Knockback
Uses 10 Mana
Summons an Illusion Wyvern to fight for you
* Now the Damage may seem low, but that’s because it works like the Stardust Dragon. Each segment amplifies the damage and knockback by 8%, and it also shoots Chaos Balls at enemies. Quite a cool dragon!

Well there was a short and simple suggestion, and hopefully this doesn’t sound too far-fetched to anyone. Summoners really miss out on the Hardmode dungeon for loot, so why not give em more?

Great idea! These three enemies can spawn in front of differentwwall types, just like casters. IMO illusion wyvern is a bit too powerful - also stardust dragon was meant to be different than all other minions.
