(Edit:I feel a bit dumb that I didn't see the ExampleMod .zip earlier, but, I'm still having difficulty trying to put together summoner items (As I couldn't find an example in the pack) so, all help will still be appreciated. (Especially if you know the code for the stardust dragon minion (Preferably I'd like to attach the AI of the EoW/DoW onto a segmented minion, but, I wouldn't be bothered if I had to stick to an aerial AI), I've been stuck trying to figure that out)
Hello! I'm a novice sprite, concept and general artist who's recently gotten back into this game. And, I wanted to try something new, and make a mod for once.
But, I'm quite new to this whole thing, and have only beginners knowledge with coding. I came here to see if I could get some help with the whole AI, weapons, armors, buffs. ect.
I'm sorry for being so broad, however, tutorials I've found were not up to date with 1.3.5.X and broke a lot during testing. If you'd like to help with the creation of this mod, I'll be happy to work together, just keep in mind. Life might get busy for me, and it might be awhile till I respond, so, I apologize ahead of time.
Things I wanted to add in this mod were:
-more post-Moonlord (And post-Plantera) minions (Maybe even some for pre-Plantera and Expert Mode ones). (Around 15-30 more minions)
-more summoner accessories
-A few many more bosses (~5)
-of course, more items.
-A few more armour sets
-summoner buffs
-A few many blocks (Ores)
-A few enemies
-One new NPC
-summoner weapons (Weapons that count as summoner damage)
-And lastly, probably a few pets
(One more thing actually, would be enabling dye-able minions, something even I wanted for a long time but couldn't find a mod for. However, I might need help for this one) (This would add a new slot in Equipment for minions, which would also allow vanity minions that do the damage of the equipped minion (And yes, I know that can be exploited a tad))
If you have any bits of code, help, or advice I can use, I'd greatly appreciate it.
(If I receive any unique code (Code you wrote yourself), I'll make sure to credit you for it)
