Game Mechanics Summoner whip speed transfer to melee speed.

Due to the nerfs, Melee Speed is no longer benefits from Whip Speed buffs e.g. Jungle's Fury.
This put stacking whip-buffs as melee completely useless understandably, but nerfed Melee Summoner hybrid pretty badly ;

Proposing that a user is using at least two Old One's Army set-pieces, they will receive whip speed buffs to melee speed or a slightly decreased amount is a change that would honestly perfectly make sense, regarding balancing it is a bit weird as due to the high stat increases from melee Old-one Army's Sets already; people who consider minmaxxing stats may use the Old-one's sets already bringing back whip-stacking melee speed.

So, a bug which allowed whip super attack speed to be transferred to melee attack speed was removed, but you want it to be brought back as a lategame feature? Not sure I approve. I especially disagree with the OOA armor being used since crossover items must still function only as they do in their original game.

That's not entirely true, the Magiluminecence doesn't neet to be fueled, nor does the Dungeon defenders stuff grant summon damage in DD.

As for the post, I don't know why More than 3 people would ever use a hybrid set. Barely anyone even does OOA as far as i know, ive never even done more than tier 1.
But whip speed buffs affecting melee speed? And only for the OOA gear? Doesn't seem practical at all.

Oh it was a bug? I thought it was certainly unintended but not a 'bug'
Also, it won't change anything about OOA armour its just OOA armour would be what allows you to use the whip-buffs simply because IT IS the Hybrid Melee, the only thing that would change would be a set bonus tooltip and code.

All the "I dont know why more than 3 people would ever use a hybrid set" is another pointer, it would get people into using mixed armor sets more and using OOA armor sets more in general, they are heavily underrated, also they are :red:ing amazing they are some of the most damage increasing sets in the game, 20% Melee and Summoner damage on the shinobi helmet is crazy, and you aren't inclined to use the full set like other armors.

And the reason why it only affects OOA sets is not only is there 4 Melee OOA sets (Monk, Squire, Shinobi, Valhalla) but because as anyone will acknowledge having it always available was overpowered, heck even making it so you have to wear the entire old ones army set(s) would be balanced and a welcome change in my opinion. The hybrid classes dont get the attention they deserve because they are super fun, I am doing a Melee Hybrid Tank on GFB and it has got to be the most fun time ever fighting bosses like empress.

In a lot of meta builds people will use OOA, it provides great stats for both hybrid builds and armor mixing

Ok but like Max Melee Speed starlight is funny
I mean, this only allows you to use Starlight without moving on Moon Lord if you really want to do that. I don't see it as a necessity

Even if it wasn't a bug, I would rather this not come back, and especially not on OOA armors. I don't respect those armor sets, and I don't like mixing armor pieces from different sets, but it can't be denied that they give you incredible stat increases, and they simply do not need more buffs.

pretty sure flying dragon is like strongest melee weapon before moonlord, aerial bane is one of the strongest if not the strongest ranged weapon before moon lord

armors are also insane for set mixing to the point i'd consider some of the cobinations a bit unbalanced

so as far as OOA goes third tier items for sure don't need buff

I'd just make the sets turrets only and buff them, the whole hybrid classes thing is almost always suboptimal comparing to just cherry picking best parts of sets and using them in mixed armor for single class

considering this i'm against mixing whips effects with melee
