v0.4.2 released

We now automatically support most modded minions. Any special minions can use the Mod.Call functionality described at the bottom of the first post to inform this mod of the buff, item, projectiles, and slots for their particular minion. If you have special minions that use multiple segments, this will be necessary for proper display.

Here you can see Purity Wisp from ExampleMod automatically being shown. Prior to this update, we would simply report "Uncountable mod minion slots: 1".

Various other fixes relating to the max minions now work better as well.

Once again big thanks to @direwolf420 for his huge help in implementing these features.
 
v0.4.4 released
  • Fixed blood talisman in multiplayer
  • Added new functions for Minion Control Rod:
    • Right click on an enemy to target it,
    • or right click somewhere else to spawn a reticle your minions will attack
  • New Minion Control Rod sprite
  • Tweaked recipes to make things accessible earlier in the game

Thanks to Illuminati for the updated sprites and @direwolf420 for the massive amount of work he put in for these new features.

v0.4.4.1 released
  • 'Persistency' in the 'Server Config', making it so the reticle, once spawned, never despawns
  • Clarified tooltip of 'Minion Control Rod'
  • Reticle doesn't reduce max enemy spawns anymore

This obviously wouldn't matter by the time mods are moved to 1.4, but it would be nice if the Spider Staff was counted correctly when using any of the books (due to the 0.75 minions thing).

Also, an indicator of sentries above defense would be useful, too, as others have said.
 
v0.4.5 released
  • Added used sentry slots icon above the used minion slots icon
  • Spider Staff minions now count towards the Minion History Books correctly

The OP image is a bit outdated, basically the small icon near the accessories is always visible, but the detailed minion slot distribution below each buff is only visible with the card:

what does "Uncountable mod minion slots" mean? is it bad?
It just means the minions come from a mod that hasn't integrated with this mod. Basically the mod knows the minions exist, it just doens't have the metadata to correctly identify them. It's fine, not an issue.
 
wonder how this will work 1.4 with weapons like Terraprisma
theres also that minions expanded mod that has a sword bound to you as well
 
Found a bug with this mod: If you have another mod that adds a minion Advanced Targeting Feature, for example "The Amulet of Many Minions" mod, then it causes the game to crash when you try to load into your world due to the conflicting changes.

I found a temporary solution by going into Summoner's Association mod config and enabling the "Disable Advanced Targeting Feature" option so they no longer both try to change the same thing, but it's only a work around and a fix would be greatly appreciated.
