Biomes & Nature - " SWAMP! " Alternate Jungle Biome -

I recently realized that we don't have Swamps in Terraria.
While thinking about how we could add Swamps to the game,
I came to the conclusion that we couldn't just put it together with the other biomes in the world,
because there isn't much space left for it,
especially in small worlds.
So I thought that it could be like Corruption and Crimson, and that Swamp could be an alternate version of the Jungle.

Why only Corruption and Crimson have this mechanic of being alternate biomes?
I think there should be more!
Some Examples:
Jungle / Swamp
Hallow / Candy (this one is very popular in the community)
Actually, these are the only ones that I think should have alternate versions, I can't think of others.

WHY DO I WANT A SWAMP BIOME:
I wish there was a Swamp biome because I think the setting that this biome could have would be really cool.
New enemies, and creatures, plus a new type of wood would be a pretty cool thing to have.
I imagine an alternate version of the Queen Bee as a Queen Dragonfly, or maybe a Frog King.

Anyway, I doubt they'll add any new biomes to the game,
that would be a lot of work.
But who knows?
Maybe if they see that a lot of people like the idea it has a chance of happening.

The devs considered a Swamp biome as an alternative to the Jungle a long time ago, but ultimately decided not to. That aside, though, I'd be interested to hear some of your more specific ideas for this. What would those new enemies and items be?

I imagine a swamp biome with frogs, alligators, dragonflies, salamanders, water snakes, and also a variety of insects in place of bees, probably mosquitoes.
We already have dragonflies and frogs in Terraria, so these could be reused.
Or perhaps, instead of being peaceful creatures, in the swamp biome they would be enemies. They would be bigger and with a more hostile sprite.

hmmm...
what if the swamp is the corrupted/crimsoned version of the jungle?

it sounds weird but i imagine a swamp to somewhat seem like what the corruption is and it sounds kinda like a fit to it, especially since you barely meet the corrupt jungle because it's instantly taken care of by players
it sounds like an interesting thing, but idk if it'd work with crimson

This is a good idea, actually. Jungle grass can be corrupted now, so it makes sense to have at least a couple things specific to the Corrupt/Crimson Jungle. Maybe not as much as the Desert, but if the Corrupt Ice biome can have Pigrons, then the Corrupt Jungle (also known as Swamp) should have something too.
