PC Swaying trees tearing problem

I looked around and found that using your GPU control panel you can force vsync for terraria and that might help but it hasn't for me

I don't understand what the problem is, the trees look fine. If you really mind the wind effects you can turn them off in settings.

It appears the problem is that only the tops sway and not the rest, and it results in actually the top of the tree appearing to slightly disconnect from the rest of the tree. It's subtle. I don't have this problem and don't know how to fix that.

The video is a bit difficult to see, so I'll take a guess at the problem. If you have a high zoom level, you can see clearly where the 'join' point is between the swaying part of the tree and the trunk that doesn't move.
If you're seeing gaps in the tree where the background shows through, this can be caused by having an odd zoom setting. The zoom slider in the General settings menu can sometimes set zoom levels to strange decimals.
