Switch Switch online crashes all the time

Ive been playing co op with my gf online and the game is becoming more unplayable the later into the game we get. The game just gets overloaded too easily. Fighting the queen bee, picking up skeletrons loot, buying ammo while she fought alone rain crashed it twice. I feel like if we got even farther we would only get more CPU intensive weapons and bosses and crash it even more, so we had to quit playing cuz it's just frustrating the game doesn't work

I cannot get past an event without freezing anymore. It was like you said it just got progressively worse as I advanced.
I really want to play this game but not in this state.

For about a week every time I fought a golem it would crash my game
