A contest sounds like a fun idea. I feel like either builds or just a competition like others with a bunch of categories (as one might expect, I would hope for a music/other category this time).
Though honestly I'd prolly just build something.
I feel like for something like this, forum members voting would be a decent way to go.
Not sure about prizes though.
I'd say maybe just something recognizing them for winning through tcf like a title or something, doesn't have to be much more than that in my opinion.

Maybe "Wizard"? (I checked the title list and it's not used up...) As for the description for it, maybe something along the lines of "These 10 long years have made you wise!" with possibly a thank you message for sticking around that long.

Maybe have an AMA for all of the staff members to use(although probably going to need to be either Loki or you, Unit One, for the inital post) and only open it up every so often.

I would personally choose Zenith or Terra Blade, but if that would break the pattern of most titles being specific mobs, then I think it could be kind of funny to have the 10 year title be Bunny or Gold Bunny or something like that.

As someone bunny-adjacent that is distressingly close to being eligible for the ten year title, "Gold Bunny" is pretty funny considering bunnies are the mascot critter and having someone having been here for ten years is in itself pretty rare. dunno if i'd drop eol title for it but it'd be a nice collector's item for my wall

The greatest difficulty I see here with a contest would be making it accessible, in the sense of, many forum users may be adept in one area but not another, such as someone who may excel with the technical aspects of Terraria but struggle with building, people who may be proficient writers but lack art skills, or people who may be skilled with fighting bosses or PVP but struggle somewhere else as examples. As TCF as a whole encompasses all these things, making a competition which allows all of these rather different talents to shine in their own way seems difficult, and while certainoy not impossible to do, I feel that judging many of these things against each other does not seem to fairly represent each one.

I'm not against a contest however, but...

i think there should be something like the Gamemaker Community Slow Jam; something like a contest, but with no winners or ranking, just a bunch of people making something for fun

Something which lacks ranking does seem to perhaps be the best option?
Maybe something which also in some way opens up some form of discussion between members of the forums to add additional community interaction to such a contest?

This definitely seems like a good idea.

SPECIAL STUFF Anything else that might be fun that isn't a contest or Q&A? Maybe a hidden spoiler, or something else that we haven't thought of? Now is the time to share the ideas of what you would do to head up the celebration.

While I'm not entirely sure what such a thing would look like, something that sort of brings people through each forum section would be interesting.
Something such as a hunt for a spoiler which involves clues in each section could be a neat way of doing such a thing however.

Generally liking people's suggestions for something like golden rabbit, in general something which goes beyond simply fighting each boss to instead bring together the journey in general seems fitting.
Only suggestion I would have is perhaps something like a pickaxe or drill or such, due to it being one of the main tools everyone who plays Terraria will use and could be considered symbolic in how it is used to shape worlds.
