• Ever wanted to try your hand at making a Terraria painting - you know, one of those art pieces that you hang up in your wooden boxbeautiful Terraria house. Now is your chance to show off your spriting skills and celebrate with others in the community. Whether you are a skilled pixel artist or a never-tried-it-before beginner, this is a safe space for everyone just to have fun.

• You can make as many paintings as you'd like. No placeholder posts. No AI (artificial intelligence) creations.
• Entries will close Thur, Oct 10 at 10PM ET
• Winners will be chosen by the forum staff, and announced in the October State of the Game thread.

It makes me remember the first time i got into terraria!
My first pixel art ever, i think its pretty cute!
Also first time actually entering a contest so.
I'd love if i could get even in 3rd place since I've never ordered anything from the store and id love to! Ive always loved terraria since my friend introduced me to it, i love terraria and i love playing it with him. I'd love to order him a hoodie/plushie. Since he loves it way more than me

"Garden of Gnomes"
A group of gnomes is called a garden of gnomes.
(Naturally generates in living trees "treasure rooms" or rarely dropped by gnomes)

Here's my entry for the painting contest!
I found the lack of gnome paintings disturbing so I felt compelled to tackle this lucky challenge!

• The squad of gnomes gazing intently at the viewer​
• The smooth marble frame oozing living tree energy with small vines and dayblooms​
• Extra lucky with four four-leafed clovers at the corners surrounded by a golden accent reminiscent of the marble furniture set​

"Moonlit Tower"
All wizards deserve a moonlit tower.
(Dropped by the Lunatic Cultist or generates in the dungeon)

Here's my second entry for the painting contest!
The purple moon is my favourite moon type in the game so I decided to honour her with this painting idea.
Just in time for spooky season tooumpking:


I had a blast making these and I can't wait to see what the rest of the community comes up with!

I'm much better with a sword than I am a brush, but I wanted to contribute something anyway.

"Journey's Early End"

This takes inspiration from the Dungeon paintings offering bleaker imagery and the Broken Hero Sword as a material for the Terra Blade, featuring an image of an abandoned, broken Terra Blade-like sword laying in a Corrupt field, in a starless sky interrupted by a Blood Moon. I'm not the best at actually drawing things, let alone smaller details, but I hope it at least captures the imagination for even a few moments.

Overall haven't felt that satisfied with my work for ages and it was nice not listening to my own self doubts.

I really liked the Uluru painting, and decided I'd try to do my favorite mountain K2 in the classic Terraria style

It's a dart trap with 4 darts surrounding it. A tribute to many hardcore runs that ended before I could even fight a boss

My submission is of a classical 3x6 oil painting of a cavern pot called "Little Oil Pot" based on an explosive post I made for a new (skyrim-inspired) trap.

The title of the painting is from a nursery rhyme I made up:

I'm a little oil pot
short and stout
grab me by the handle
AND EXPLODE EVERYWHERE!!!

If you can't tell, I ran out of time and the painting ended up very unfinished, (It originally was actually supposed to have both the solar and lunar cultists, and I was also going to make a painting of the Twins titled Omniscient Watchers, and a painting of the WoF titled Guardian of the Underworld, but I got busy and ran short on time).
