I have seen other people with this same issue, though progress to determining the source has been slow due to lack of cooperation. Could you provide your client-crashlog.txt which is located at your local files? This error by itself is entirely useless because it can mean all sorts of things, but the error that caused this one to be thrown would be incredibly useful. If you feel uncomfortable with providing this file, you can always just paste the error that occurred just before this error is thrown.
How to get to the download files:
1. Enter Steam
2. Go to the steam library
3. Locate Terraria in the steam library
4. Right click Terraria
5. Press Properties
6. Press Local Files
7. Press Browse Local Files
Ok, here is the crashlog.txt
The only thing I get to notice is that the crash does not happen to me while I am close to the spawn of the world, but as soon as I move, either down to either side, trying to explore the map simply the game crash.
Clearly I was incorrect about my assumption of the error being shown on this crashlog file, I am spoiled by how the tModLoader logging system is so effective. Could you guys try forcing the terraria to show all errors by doing what this video suggests?
It should not be difficult and it should work after the 1.4 update.
Judging from The errors shown by this image on your log file:
Could you locate the Config.json file at your save file location and edit these 3 options to "false"
If you need help locating this file, view this:
Vanilla File Locations:
Windows Files: %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria (This is typically found in C:\Documents)
Linux Files: ~/.local/share/Terraria/or $XDG_DATA_HOME/Terraria/
Mac Files: ~/Library/Application support/Terraria
Ok, that solved the other errors, now the only error that is being thrown is this:
"Exception: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Índice fuera de los límites de la matriz.
en Terraria.Graphics.Light.LegacyLighting.GetColor(Int32 x, Int32 y)"
In my previous experiences with 'Exception: System.IndexOutOfRangeException:' errors, the next text in English would be 'Exception: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of Array.'
I did some research over this error, and I came to this Reddit post:
Long story short, this part of the error should be solved by merely setting the lighting setting under video settings to "colored." Why this solves the problems can be found out by visiting this Reddit Post, the Author does a good job explaining it.
