Linux Terraria Black Screen Help

So I have a new chromebook that can run linux applications, and I had gotten steam a while back along with Terraria and a couple other games. But, there was an update with chrome recently, and when I tried to load Terraria again, it loaded up, the music started playing, but the screen stayed dark. What should I do? I've seen answers to this question before, but those were all for Windows Computers and the like, but not for linux, or more specifically, chrome OS running linux.

update: can no longer hear music when loaded up. Just a black screen. The attached image is of what I see after loading it up

I am having this exact same problem, except i can still hear the music.
