Terraria crashes on my g3

Ever since I updated my terraria to 1.2 it crashes like hell! It crashes when I open a chest, fighting a boss or not even doing anything. Sometimes on start-up, the background shows up llate in the main menu. I bought mine in amazon, if that makes any difference?

I've got the same problem here- It started with my cloud world and cloud character (I wanted it to be safe because of reinstalling/before the last update). Pre-hardmode was almost ok, just rarely Terraria closed on it's own so I got used to saving my progress more often.. But then the hardmode came and the problem was evidently with the amount of things hanging around, mobs and full chests and too many craftable items in crafting section > so the game kept crashing so often that I started to be really irritated. It close when in inventory for more than 10 secs, when only scrolling the crafting page, when it realised I forgot to save it for about 8 mins... But oh, I am in love with this game so I somehow kept slowly on going. Then the final blow came - once again the game force-closed and my character with all those items was nowhere to be found! Just like that... And no reinstalling helped (I don't mean retreaving the char, it was lost I know). Now I reached hardmode in my new world with a new char (saved in tablet, not cloud, just to test it if it isn't just the dloud) and all is the same. I just wait to see that this char I play with this time isn't there anymore. I must tell you that I love Terraria, it's the best game as far as I'm concerned and I would quietly wait till all the bugs are removed and fixed (like the green world after firing a staff, no matter which), but this just ruins the game for me. Also I don't know why but after the amazing 1.2 update (not ironic) the game won't run unless my tablet has internet connection - not so much fun then. (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Android version 4.1.2 -is it too old to run Terraria without these problems?) But I've got to say that the game doesn't lag at all, no problem there then. Please fix it or tell me what to do to avoid this problems (if there is any way except uninstalling the game for good). Thank you in advance for any help, fix or advice.

same here, but i'm playing it from a Kindle Fire HD (amazon app version of Terraria).
I think we should open a new thread JUST for the amazon version...it is almost unplayable

My kindle works but I can't join my friends worlds (he plays an ipad). Kindle can't connect to any other divice but kindle.
